Equipping underprivileged women and girls through holistic ministry, vocational training, and Christian discipleship
The Cameroon Baptist Convention Women’s Department (CBCWD) continues to lead the way in holistic ministry by launching a range of impactful empowerment projects across its 32 Fields in Cameroon. From tailoring workshops to education centers, CBCWD is investing deeply in the spiritual, social, and economic transformation of women, girls, and children across the nation.
With over 40,000 women actively engaged in CBC churches and associations, the department remains committed to its vision of “Growing in Christ-like Character and Service”, while ensuring that every initiative reflects the compassion, dignity, and discipleship modeled by Christ.

These centers will:
In a society where many young women are left at the margins due to poverty or family instability, these vocational programs offer a tangible lifeline and a path to restored dignity.

“Being a faith-based Institution, our desire is to build entrepreneurial skills in young Cameroonians and morally upright citizens,” states the department’s vision in the CBC report.
Recognizing the growing number of working women and nursing mothers within its churches, the CBCWD also runs a Daycare Center at the CBC headquarters. This facility allows mothers to work with peace of mind while their children are cared for in a safe, Christian environment.
Plans are underway to expand this model into other regions, providing more women with access to reliable childcare as they pursue careers or further their education.
The Women’s Department actively reaches out to:
During these outreach programs, CBC women distribute food, sanitary supplies, clothing, and Christian literature—all while sharing the message of Christ’s love and salvation.
In 2021, the department also began producing literature to evangelize, edify, and build up women and children, making the Word of God more accessible and understandable to diverse audiences across the country.
To scale its impact, CBCWD has outlined several upcoming goals:
The department is currently seeking partners, donors, and churches to come alongside and support these life-changing efforts.
“The CBC Women’s Department exists to glorify God through the lives of women, young girls, and children by evangelizing, discipling for spiritual maturity, and developing for holistic services.”
Whether you’re a local church, a Christian NGO, a donor, or an individual with a heart for women’s empowerment, the CBCWD welcomes your support through:
With the right support, the CBC Women’s Department can continue shaping women who not only survive—but thrive as agents of change in their families, churches, and communities.
