Business is an area of life where our integrity is often tested. The temptation to use unfair measures to gain an advantage is strong. However, the Bible teaches that God delights when we use the right scales, not only to honor Him but also to create trust and fairness in our transactions. The second part of Proverbs 11:1 emphasizes that God finds pleasure in honest dealings. Distorted scales may offer short-term gains, but they kill trust and ultimately harm businesses. The message is clear: when we align our actions with God’s standards of honesty, He blesses our efforts. Examine your current business practices. Do you use the proper standards of fairness, honesty, and transparency? Do your practices align with God’s expectations?
Reflection
God delights in the appropriate use of scales in business.
Prayer
