During times of trial, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. However, Hebrews 12:2 reminds us to "look to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith." This verse encourages us to keep our focus on Jesus as we face trials. The phrase "the founder and perfecter of our faith" reminds us that Jesus is the One who initiated our faith and is the One who will bring it to completion. His endurance through suffering and His victory over death are the foundation of our hope. By keeping our eyes on Him, we can draw strength from His example and trust that He will carry us through our own trials. When you face trials, where do you focus your attention? Do you focus on the problem or on the solution, which is Jesus? Looking to Him means trusting in His power to sustain you through every hardship.
Reflection
Jesus is the ultimate example of enduring trials.
Prayer
Suggestion for Prayer: Ask God to help you fix your eyes on Jesus during trials.
