In our world, inappropriate language has become normalized. As Christians, our words should reflect the purity and love that Christ calls us to embody. Our speech is a reflection of our hearts, and we must choose to speak in a way that honors God. Paul admonishes us to avoid vulgar speech and instead cultivate speech that is edifying and reflects God's standards. This includes avoiding double tongues, flirtatious comments, or inappropriate jokes. Examine your conversations. Are there areas in your speech that need to be cleaned up? It may require intentional effort to eliminate inappropriate language or gossip from your life. You can replace impure speech with encouraging and uplifting words.
Reflection
Our speech should reflect purity and honor to God.
Prayer
Pray that God will help you to speak words of purity and kindness, and that your speech will reflect His love.
