After their feet were washed, and they had rested and eaten the Strangers asked for Sarah. The Lord promised her a son, a promise that seemed impossible because of the limitations that surrounded Sarah and her husband—they were both advanced in age, the manner of women had ceased from Sarah. But this was the promise of God to them because nothing is too hard for the Lord (v 14; Jere 32:17). Maybe you have given up about some serious need in your life, God is promising you a breakthrough in it. The promise is not because you deserve it, or you have prayed too hard, but partly because you are kind and generous to strangers. Opening our doors for strangers is opening up for the visitation of the Lord in our lives and families.
