Content
Scripture reveals that confession is fundamental to restoring right relationship with God and man. As a way of encouraging his reader to live out their faith, James emphasizes the importance of confession to one another because it is a needed step towards healing. Confession creates an environment for ease of reconciliation. Confession is not for one to be looked down on but for the purpose of prayer. When prayers are not done after confession, healing might not come. It might seem uncomfortable to make known our sins to others but we are encouraged to intentionally do that because we were designed for each other. Have someone you can confide in for the purpose of prayers. Never judge or look down on one who confesses to you.
Reflection
Hiding sins makes reconciliation and healing difficult.
Prayer
Pray for the boldness to confess your sins to someone.
