Endurance is one of the greatest virtues that trials produce in the lives of believers. Romans 5:3b teaches us that suffering produces endurance. Endurance is not just the ability to tolerate hardship but the capacity to persevere through it with patience and faith. Just as athletes train and build their endurance through hardship, so our spiritual endurance is strengthened as we face life’s trials. Paul’s words remind us that trials have a divine purpose. While suffering may feel unbearable at times, it is shaping our ability to endure through future challenges. The endurance gained from these trials helps us grow in spiritual maturity. The more we endure, the stronger we become in our faith. Consider how you can view your current challenges as opportunities to build endurance.
