Content
Were God to count our sins against us, no one would be free from His wrath. From this psalm of David, it is evident that forgiveness is a gift we have received. It is a gift because our guilt is removed, our sins covered, and our hearts are transformed, leaving no deceit in them through nothing we have done or could do. Being blessed because of forgiveness is having joy and peace that comes from having your sins cleansed. Such blessings come primarily from God, before that which comes from the forgiveness of fellow humans that foster good relationships. Have you experienced these blessings of God because of the forgiveness of your sins? It is important to come to God for the blotting out of your guilt and the concealing of your sins so that His joy and peace will be yours.
Reflection
Many of God’s blessings are in forgiving our sins.
Prayer
Ask God to fill you with the blessings of His forgiveness as your confess to Him.
