Many people chase after wealth, believing it will bring them happiness and fulfillment. However, Proverbs 11:18 teaches that righteousness is more valuable than ill-gotten riches. Wealth may provide temporary satisfaction, but it cannot offer the lasting peace and fulfillment that come from living a righteous life. The text draws a contrast between wealth earned by wicked means and the rewards of righteousness. It emphasizes that while wealth may bring temporary gain, living a righteous life brings lasting rewards from God. What do you value more: accumulating wealth or living a life of righteousness?
