When you have to receive an important visitor, you make sure you house is comfortable for him/her to stay. This devotion teaches us why God demanded His people to give. God calls on His people to give willingly and generously to construct a sanctuary for Him to dwell among them. His people’s willingness to contribute and build a sanctuary for Him would have been evidence that they wanted Him to dwell with them. God does not dwell in temples built by humans hands today. In Christ Jesus, the body of the believer becomes the dwelling place of God. God dwells in the person whose sins have been taken away by the Lord Jesus. Be willing to let God dwell in you through Jesus Christ.
Reflection
God wants to Dwell with His People.
Prayer
Suggestion for prayer: If God is not dwelling in you, invite Jesus to take control of your life.
