God showed His supernatural power in provision and healing in the life of a widow and son. Since crops could not produce because of the drought He sent Elijah His prophet to this widow to be taken care of. The faith and hospitable attitude of the woman is tested by the prophet, who asked her to bake a small loaf for him first. The prophet assured her of God’s supernatural provision as long as the drought lasted. The woman willingly obeyed the prophet even when it seemed difficult and impossible. She was willing to trust God in that difficult situation. We might be living at the drought seasons of our lives, yet God is expecting us to be kind to someone in need around us. It takes trust in God to do this, knowing that He will always provide for us.
Reflection
God’s ways will always marvel us.
Prayer
Ask God to increase your faith so that you can trust in His provision power.
