Temptation can appear to be overwhelming at times. Our devotion is an encouragement to trust God when we are tempted. 1 Corinthians 10:13 assures us that no temptation is beyond our ability to overcome because God is faithful. Paul explains that while we may face trials and temptations, God has promised that they will not be more than we can bear. He will provide a way out for us to resist temptation. This includes sexual temptations, which are particularly strong, but God’s faithfulness ensures that we are never alone in facing them. When faced with temptation, look for the escape route that God provides. This may include physically removing yourself from the situation, seeking prayer or accountability, or filling your mind with Scripture.

Prayer
Pray for strength to resist the temptation of sin and ask God to reveal His way of escape in times of temptation.
