Jesus speaks to His disciples about the peace that is available to them through Him, despite the challenges ahead. He explains that the peace He gives is beyond all understanding because it comes from the Father and is based on the love and faith the disciples have in Him. This peace is a direct result of their relationship with Christ. Today’s world can offer temporary solutions, but true peace is found only in Christ. When we live in a relationship with Jesus, His peace becomes a reality in our lives, no matter the external circumstances. True peace does not come from the absence of trouble, but from your relationship with Christ. Let this peace guard your heart and mind, knowing that God’s love for you is the source of all true peace.
Reflection
True peace is not something the world can manufacture or sustain. It is a gift that flows from a living relationship with Jesus Christ. Even when life is uncertain and challenges surround us, Christ’s peace remains steady because it comes from the Father and is rooted in love, faith, and trust in Him. This peace does not remove hardship, but it guards our hearts and minds, anchoring us in God’s unchanging presence. When we choose to walk closely with Jesus, we discover a peace that transcends understanding and assures us that we are never alone.
Prayer
Suggestion for Prayer: Lord, thank You for the peace that comes from knowing You. Help me to experience your peace in every area of my life, especially when I am facing difficult circumstances. Pray for the CBC: Pray for the CBC Executive President, Rev Dr Teke John Ekema, trusting God to grace His leadership with peace.
