Paul knew that people like to copy other people’s actions so he used the giving attitude of the Macedonian churches to motivate the Corinthian churches to give. The Macedonian churches did not give with the intention of being presented to others as the ideal example for giving. They intentionally did a good thing, unintentionally putting themselves forward as a good example. One of the greatest things you can do is to live in a way that people can learn good things from you. If you are not setting a good example to the people around you then I implore you to live out an exemplary life like the Lord Jesus (Phil. 2:1-11).
Reflection
Being a Good Example.
Prayer
Suggestion for prayer: Ask God to help you avoid doing things that you will not want to see your child or others doing.
